Philosophy & Churmuri

Philosophy and Churmuri.

Some people believe philosophy belongs in libraries, universities, and serious discussions conducted in serious voices.

The wanderer knows better.

Philosophy appears while waiting for water to boil, watching rain gather on windows, walking without a destination, or balancing a bowl of rapidly softening churmuri that demands immediate attention.

The wanderer sits with a bowl of rapidly destabilizing churmuri in one hand and a philosophical question in the other.

Somewhere between the second and third handful comes an observation about human nature. By the fifth handful, an article title appears, and by the end of the bowl, an entire essay has been mentally drafted.

The churmuri disappears.

The philosophy remains.

The onions ensure nobody comes too close to interrupt the process.

There is something very LWD about daily living. Today it was while the wanderer was eating Totapuri mango churmuri, contemplations on the architecture of human assumptions…

Some questions arrive with grand entrances. Some appear while waiting for water to boil, watching rain gather on windows, walking without a destination…

Why do people build boxes for each other?

Why does memory preserve some moments and discard others?

Why does music unite strangers?

Why does mandakki obey the laws of humidity with such ruthless efficiency?

Perhaps life was never meant to be separated into important thoughts and ordinary moments.

Perhaps the ordinary moments are where the important thoughts have been hiding all along.

The wanderer continues the investigation.

Preferably before the churmuri loses structural integrity.

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
